First, let’s talk about who Jesus is. Jesus is God’s Son. He came to Earth about 2,000 years ago. He did a lot of amazing things, but the most important thing He did was to make a way for us to be friends with God again.

You see, in the beginning, when God created the world, everything was perfect. In Genesis 1:1, it says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” He made the sun, the moon, the stars, and all the animals. Then, He made humans. Genesis 1:27 tells us, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Everything was awesome until sin came into the world. Sin is when we do things that go against what God wants. Because of sin, we got separated from God. It’s like a huge wall came between us and Him. But God loves us so much that He didn’t want it to stay that way.

The Rescue Plan

God had a rescue plan, and His plan was Jesus. Jesus came to Earth to save us from our sins. John 3:16 explains it perfectly: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Isn’t that amazing?

Peace and Joy: Life can be tough, but Jesus gives us peace and joy even in hard times. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Guidance: Jesus helps us know the right way to live. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

How to Surrender to Jesus

Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Confess your faith in Jesus. Tell Him that you want Him to be your Lord and Savior.

Living for Jesus

Once you’ve surrendered to Jesus, your life will start to change in amazing ways. Here are some tips on how to live for Jesus every day:
